Domby “Alex” Thomas is a 30-year-old patient who came to Sunshine Bone and Joint Institute. The institute is being directed by the top and internationally recognized surgeon Dr. AV Gurava Reddy. It was one of the pathetic cases seen in past years. Alex was drug-addicted since the age of 13 and has been using the same till the age of 20 years. The problem arose when Alex's drug addiction started affecting his bones and for 10 years he was still fighting to control his issues individually. The bone density was reduced and it led to an increase in malnutrition in Alex’s body. Alex was going through majorly three issues:

Alex developed pain in his spine, making it difficult to sit and stand. His drug addiction made him develop swelling in the joints of his legs and arms, affecting the bones from the inside. It was a severe case of multiple-medical issues, as the patient was already fighting drug addiction and going through bone problems and malnutrition too.

Alex was taken under the assistance of three doctors, a dietician, a physical therapist, and an orthopedic surgeon. They worked in collaboration to suggest the right medicines and the right amount or choice of food. He was given one month of assistance along with rehabilitation for drug addiction. He underwent orthopedic surgery for joints, helping him to attain flexibility in his legs and arms. He was also given the support of neurosurgeon specialty doctors for spine surgery. Within one month, at the age of 30 years old, from 35 Kg of weight he achieved the target weight of 50 Kg, which was one of the great achievements as part of the collaboration of doctors. He was developing in terms of his health, which gave a positive sign to fight drug addiction and spine surgery.
