Dr. G V Rao

Dr. G V Rao is a Director & Chief of Gastrointestinal & Minimally Invasive Surgery at AIG Hospitals, Gachibowli. He has 22 years of experience in his field. His areas of interest are Hepato Pancreato Biliary Surgery, Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery, Esophageal Surgery, Endoscopic Surgery, and Oral Trans Gastric Endoscopic Surgery.

He completed his MBBS from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad and MS from Bangalore Medical College, Bangalore. For fellowship, he joined the Royal College of Surgeons, the Philippine Society of Surgeons. Dr. Rao has been dignified with various awards such as President’s Appreciation Award, Best Paper Award for Laparoscopic Enteroscopy, and Outstanding Young Scientist Award. Dr. Rao is a member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences.

Dr. G V Rao has offered his services at many renowned hospitals. He has performed many surgeries throughout his medical journey. Currently, he is working with the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology, Hyderabad.
