Shweta Tiwari

Mumbai

In 2017, the 13-year-old Shweta Tiwari stood on the stage of her school for the morning prayer. All in the middle of the prayer, she started vomiting and feeling sick. She became so sick that she fainted at the moment. She was immediately taken to the school doctor for a complete checkup. The doctor gave her general medicine for vomiting and it somehow stopped. After an hour, when Shweta woke up and got her senses, she was asked a few questions, and the doctor immediately detected that something was wrong with her. The parents were called and the child was taken to the hospital for consultation with a Nephrologist in Mumbai.

How did Shweta receive help?

  • Being unaware of the symptoms, Shweta was recommended to have all the major tests including a CT scan, MRI, ultrasound, urine test, stool test, and a blood test.

  • It took a day to have the reports of all the tests. The parents were called and the Nephrologist in Mumbai had the consultation with the parents.

  • The parents were informed that Shweta was going through 87% of kidney failure because of the large number of kidney stones. They were explained about the natural ways to get rid of kidney stones. The doctor recommended some medicines and predicted that if the medicines will work right, then there will still be chances to reduce kidney stones naturally.

  • Shweta was given at least three medicines to have at one time after the meal. Because of the risk to her health and body, she was advised to rest and have some holidays from the school routine.

  • Being aware of the symptoms now, the parents tried their best to have Shweta go through many homemade remedies. They had Shweta drink more liquid and lemonade in a day, summing up to at least 8 glasses of lemonade per day.

  • Soon, Shweta started having a few stone-like appearances on her stool. She was immediately taken to the doctor.

  • The doctor had the stool test and it was confirmed that the stone-like appearances were the stones only.

Thankfully, Shweta’s parents were able to retain the functionality of the kidney. Although Shweta was having her regular medicines and lemonade with at least 8-10 glasses per day, her parents were able to sustain the functions of the kidney. The surgery was possible now, most of the kidney stones were broken into small sizes and Shweta’s kidney started recovering with natural remedies. The parents were now thankful to the Nephrologist in Mumbai, who had a timely checkup and advised the parents on the right choices or medicines.
