Sometimes life offers you a second chance to live with the conditions you have and give you the best version of yourself. Vandana is around 29 years old and has been a patient with depression for the last year. She came to know about her depression last year in September and she has been taking medications for the same since February 2021. During the time of lockdown in 2019, she felt the need to leave the job because of the infections and the spreading of the virus. Also, many offices and the school were having some changes in their regulations. So it was causing difficulty for Vandana to continue with her job and look for another one.

How did Vandana receive help?

  • Vandana started spending her spare time gymming, watching TV, and doing everything that she could not perform while pursuing her regular job.

  • Somewhere things were different this time. Vandana was not talking the way she should have earlier.

  • She got a lot of changes in her personality and this was affecting her parents.

  • Once Vandana got herself injured while performing exercises in the gym. The way she talked to the doctors of Amri Hospital Kolkata, the doctor suggested to the parents that something was wrong with her brain activities.

  • On one hand, without informing Vandana, the doctor had an EEG to detect the signals of her brain. On other hand, the doctors came to know that everything was normal with Vandana but the way she was talking clearly showed how she was going through various issues.

It was the first time when Vandana came to know that she was having depression. This is not only the case of Vandana but many others in India, where people go through depression and often feel uncomfortable accepting things.

Nisha is around 29 years old and a married woman with two years of her marriage. She now thinks of having a baby but her health issues sometimes prove her decision wrong. One day she tried her best to conceive and had the best partnership with her husband. After a week, she came to have vomiting and a lot of other changes that were pregnancy-like symptoms. Initially, she had the pregnancy test through home-based kits. She came to know that she was pregnant and the family started celebrating things. On receiving the information that their daughter-in-law is pregnant, everyone started feeling the happiness of having a new person in the family.

How did Nisha come to connect with Credihealth?

  • Nisha, who had all the solutions at home and went through a pregnancy test, came to receive the suggestion from one of her friends that she should have it checked by the doctor.

  • Through the medium of Credihealth, she had a consultation with the doctors of Amri Hospital Dhakuria.

  • After receiving the pregnancy test, she came to know that there were no chances for her pregnancy. She was going through end-stage kidney issues which were making her feel vomiting all the time and other pregnancy-like symptoms.

Today, Nisha is around 32 years old and is waiting for her donor to come in contact with her for kidney donation. Although she had a few moments of happiness in her life, she continued to have a kind of life where she would have the support of her in-laws and her husband as she ever dreamed of.

Kritika is around 29 years old. She once had to go through a period when she had to move from her hometown to a place with no link to any relatives. She had to relocate for the sake of her job. She had good plans in her mind. She moved from Delhi to West Bengal. All of a sudden all things changed for her. She even had to shift her food habits from being vegan to only vegetarian. She started noticing awkward things in her life. She started forgetting the small things like the address of her new home in West Bengal and the keys to her rented room.

How did Kritika receive help?

  • Thinking that it could be part of anxiety because of the immediate shift from one place to another, Kritika went to a general practitioner through the medium of Credihealth.

  • She had one of her appointments fixed at Amri Hospital Dhakuria. After complete diagnosis and tests, Kritika was informed that she was going through Major Depressive Disorder [MDD].

  • She was given a few medications by her psychiatrist, whom she was referred to by the general practitioner.

Today, she is trying to not be a bugbear and stay cool as before. She is trying to maintain things as easily as they used to be in her hometown. She is taking medicines regularly and is thankful to the practices of Amri Hospital Dhakuria for their timely help.
