Surbhee Choudhary

This is the story of Surbhee Choudhary who is around 29 years old and was growing up normally like other family members. The most interesting fact about her personality trait was that she always remained positive whether it was about admitting to the school in the infancy stage or about admitting to the college in the adulthood stage.

How did Surbhee come in contact with Credihealth?

Surbhee was around 27 years old when she first developed pain in her stomach. It was so severe that she could not even think of moving her body part. It was late at night when she developed pain in her stomach and the intensity of the pain was so strong that she could not sleep the whole night. During that time, Surbhee was going through the last exam of her educational course. So, she thought of sleeping with the pain so that she could wake up early in the morning. In the morning it all went smooth, therefore, Surbhee did not have the thought of asking about the same to her parents. Two years passed and Surbhee landed a successful job in her hand. She became 29 years old and one day, she experienced stomach pain again. This time the parents connected with Fortis Hospital and Kidney Institute through the medium of Credihealth.

How did Surbhee receive help?

Surbhee had to go through all major tests including X-ray, CT scan, MRI, and even ultrasound. A few of her tests revealed that she was going through kidney stones. The condition was so severe that she developed nearly 12 stones of around 10mm. It was hard for the patient to get rid of the stones naturally. But with the support of Fortis Hospital and Kidney Institute and immediate help of Credihealth like ordering medicine and taking home care, etc. Surbhee was able to fight back. Today, she is 30 years old, received her surgery for kidney stones, and thankfully she is healthy like before. Surbhee often used to think that how one moment changes your life and the perspective towards the living style.

This is the story of Rachel who was born with a rare disease called renal hypoplasia. It is one of the rare diseases of the kidney that causes both the kidneys to appear smaller than normal but they both appear to have normal structures. It is one of the rarest kinds of disease which impacts nearly one child in every 400 births. It is typically detectable with ultrasonography. Because of the side effects of the disease, Rachel started having a urinary tract infection. She became unable to release the exact amount of urine from her urinary bladder.

  • When Rachel was only 9 years old, she went to Fortis Hospital and Kidney Institute, Kolkata through the medium of Credihealth and got herself corrected through a kind of surgery for her urinary bladder.

  • She was guided by the doctor to use Self Catheterise instead of having a urine bag in hand and taking it everywhere with herself. Meanwhile, Rachel’s health condition started improving.

  • After the surgery, she went perfectly fine and started performing a few activities with complete consideration for her health.

  • Although it was difficult for Rachel to manage the symptoms of a small kidney and face the bladder issues simultaneously, she managed to have her studies and play like other children.

  • Soon she became around 16 years old and there came a time when she had to go through another analysis of her kidneys.

  • She developed kidney issues this time, so there was an urgent need for a kidney transplant.

  • The doctor said till the time they do not get a kidney, they can help Rachel to depend on dialysis.

The parents asked for help from various institutes and got no reply in return. It became more than six months that Rachel was waiting for the right match for her kidney but none came to help her. Soon, her father was informed that he could donate his kidney to his daughter because of the same blood match. It has been more than two years that with the help of Fortis Hospital and Kidney Institute, Rachel is capable of performing all the major activities single-handedly.
