Vijay Nayyar

Bangalore

Vijay Nayyar is 60 years old and a resident of Bangalore. He had an accident nearly 5 years ago which hurt his left leg. He went to the doctor and the doctor told him to take care of his health because one of his knee joint bones was displaced. Vijay Nayyar who became curious to get himself tested and treated at the right time asked for the right option. He got to know that it will require an operation and the operation may take around INR 20,000. Vijay Nayyar who was very possessive of his health had to take his steps back because the major issue for him was the expenses of the medical operation. 5 years after he had the marriage of his only son, he developed the pain again. This time the pain became so intense that he got faint right away.

How did Vijay Nayyar receive help?

  • Vijay Nayyar’s son, who was now 27 years old, came to know about the condition of his father. He connected with the doctors of Fortis Hospital Cunningham Road and asked for help.

  • This time the finances were high and the price of the knee replacement surgery hiked. The son, who was curious about the fitness of his father, came to take the pressure off his father and told his father not to take stress on his mind as he will take the charge of all expenses for the operation.

  • Vijay Nayyar was lucky enough to receive help from his son and daughter-in-law. They together helped Vijay Nayyar and received his medical tests and operation all at once.

  • Vijay Nayyar, who had a delay in his operation of at least 5 years, talked about the same with his children and came to accept that he was aware of his medical conditions but could not pursue that time because of the expenses.

Vijay Nayyar had his surgery done and within no time he was discharged from the hospital well in advance. He had to go through minor surgery which took around 1 to 2 hours with two days of visits to the hospital. He is now happy to receive his medical procedures and is now safe and sound with a healthy body.

Astha Negi

Bangalore

Astha Negi is a resident of Himachal and has been relocated to Bangalore because of her employment. She is around 28 years old living with her parents only. It was an easy-going normal routine of life- waking up in the morning, taking bath, having breakfast, and going to the office- until Astha noticed some changes in her health. She complained of having discomfort in her clothes before going to the office. Like any person, her mother suggested her to change her clothes and either stay at home or go to the office because the time was running out and she might have gotten up late if she wanted to go to the office. Astha chose to go to the office and it went normal until she returned home and slept over the bed. During dinner, Astha’s mother called her name but she didn't come. Suspecting what she was doing, Astha was lying on the bed with froth and nose content secreted out of her mouth and nose respectively.

How did Astha receive help?

  • Astha was immediately taken to the nearby Fortis Hospital Cunningham Road, Bangalore where she received first aid before getting admitted.

  • On one hand, the parents were fulfilling the admission details and on the other hand, the doctors were checking their daughter's health.

  • Astha was going through shortness of breath. For the first time, the doctors thought it was a pandemic issue but after consulting the parents and understanding the health condition of Astha, the doctors concluded the term- seizure.

  • On the other hand, the doctors confirmed the tests and it came out to be abnormal signaling activities of the brain, which signified seizure.

Astha was suggested to remain admitted to the hospital for at least 10 days. As soon as the days were passing, the doctors were taking note of Astha’s activities. The doctors told the parents that Astha developed a seizure that was associated with depression. She started murmuring things and took no notice of any medicine or even injections. Many people often go unnoticed of their health because of the pressure of finances and taking care of family. The same thing happened with Astha who was eager to go back to her job because she had to earn money. It was the support of Fortis Hospital Cunningham Road, Bangalore and the patience of family members that made Astha fight back.
