Prince
Mumbai
This is the story of a newborn Prince who is living in Kalyan with his family. During the birth when the mother heard the term called chronic granulomatous disease (CGD), she immediately got struck by the life of her younger brother. Her younger brother was only 10 months old when he was first diagnosed with CGD. While receiving the therapies and continuous drug use, her brother could survive only up to the age of 20. This time, the mother of two children could do nothing with her third child. She was having all three sons and was the happiest person who felt lucky herself to receive the gift in the form of three sons. The moment the mother could identify anything wrong with the newborn Prince, the doctors of Fortis Hospital Kalyan, Mumbai helped with the diagnosis.
How did Prince receive help?
Prince was only born a few seconds ago and the doctors confirmed the chances of the baby with the disease called CGD.
This time, instead of feeling happy because of the birth of her newborn son, the mother cried over the situation and started imagining the life of the baby in the future.
However, the baby boy Prince was tough and was fighting back since his birth. Prince had to spend nearly 1 year in the hospital for the proper care and the continuous therapies to receive medicines through the nose or mouth.
Meanwhile, the parents used to come to the child and would meet up with the child and provide him the breastfeed.
The days were passing and the one-year-old Prince received various therapies immediately after he was born. He developed the need of bone marrow transplant that was the only option to save his life. Seeing the condition of the parents, the doctors of Fortis Hospital Kalyan, Mumbai suggested the family have bone marrow transplant from the family members only. Prince was lucky that he had the same blood group matching up with the whole family including his parents, and two older brothers. But because of the matter of age and health, his father agreed over the transplant. Prince received bone marrow from his father, meanwhile, the father had to go through a few tests. Prince is now a 25 years old adult depicting his journey of fighting back with the help of Credihealth and Fortis Hospital Kalyan, Mumbai. He is living with a job and consistent support to his family. The family is now happy to have their children going in their individual directions and making their careers excel in this world.
