Krisha Bajaj

Sometimes going with the flow of life is all that is required at the time. Krisha Bajaj is the daughter of Ankur Bajaj and is only 12 years old. Once, she along with her whole family (including her mother, father, one sister, and one brother) was going for a picnic driving by car. Krisha, who never had any symptoms earlier in her life, all of sudden came to develop froth in her mouth and she fell while sitting in the car in the back seat. Her elder sister noticed her and immediately asked her father to drive towards the hospital for immediate help.

How did Krisha receive help?

  • Krisha, who was admitted to the nearby Fortis Hospital Shalimar Bagh, received her first aid treatment in the emergency room.

  • The doctor who examined her told the family to admit the child for better health and examination.

  • Within an hour, she was admitted to the hospital and started receiving medications for the same.

  • Krisha, who was unconscious at the time, was taken to a separate operation room where she received her tests including a CT scan, blood pressure check, and ECG- all done within the next hour of admission.

  • Day by day, Krisha started receiving her medical tests and physical examinations. After spending 24 hours while being unconscious, Krisha had her ultrasound done the very next day, regular blood tests, regular blood pressure check, diabetes check, thyroid check, and even EEG.

  • It was EEG which had the delivery of the signals not matching with the standard signals of the brain activities and neurons.

  • The doctors confirmed Krisha that she developed a seizure. Although there were no significant symptoms earlier in her life, Krisha was told to take care of her body and stay away from junk food.

It was only that event that changed the life of the child. Today, Krisha is fighting her disease and maintaining a lifestyle full of happy moments. She goes to her school regularly while her parents take care of her like other children.

Ponnam Mehto

This is the story of Ponnam Mehto, who had to go through a very rare disease related to the face muscles. This is called trigeminal neuralgia, a rare disease that affects the facial muscles and creates an electric shock-like sensation in the face muscles creating difficulty to eat, talk and perform other activities related to the face. Poonam was already done with her job, she was living in her 60s, and had a great plan for herself to spend her retired life thereafter. She was happy that she is having the happiness in the form of her grandchildren who were old enough to support her while performing house chores. But the main problem arose when Poonam had to face the disease.

How did Poonam receive help?

  • Through the medium of Credihealth, Poonam came to know about the best-in-class medical facilities of Fortis Hospital Shalimar Bagh.

  • She was given every sort of help and was testified with the diagnosis of the disease called trigeminal neuralgia. At the tender age of 60 when she developed the thought of a pilgrim traveling, she was diagnosed with the disease and it all affected her 10 years of simple living.

  • But, Poonam was lucky enough to receive the help of Credihealth and had her treatment done at Fortis Hospital Shalimar Bagh.

  • The doctors of the hospital had her go through a series of surgery that took her to repair in around 6 months.

  • It was a long period and Poonam had to stay calm in every situation like laughing, eating, crying, and even brushing.

  • There was not a single moment that she had to spare her shock and electric-like feeling of face muscles. Sometimes, the pain may start radiating to other body parts and the situation used to become worse.

  • It was the toughest time of her life when she became dependent on the medicines and had to take over 4 medicines one time after one meal.

However, the story doesn't end here, she received proper treatment that took nearly 6 months including surgery and the use of a few medications. For the next 6 months, she was given time to recover fast with the help of medications and a few home remedies like massage over the face muscles. Although she is now 70 years old and it took her 10 years to completely get free from pain, she is happy to receive her life back.
