Fortis Malar is a 180 bedded hospital. Out of these 60 beds are dedicated for the Intensive Care Unit. There are 4 state of the art operation theaters.

The neurosurgery OT is equipped with cranial and spinal endoscopes and semi robotic microscopes. They are supported by medical technology like MRI, CT machines. Diagnostic equipments like EEG, ENMG and video monitoring is also available.

The hospital also has a technologically advanced Cath Lab and an ultra modern dialysis unit.

A fully functional Pharmacy is available within the premises. The cardiac ambulance is also known as Mini ICU. It is fully equipped with ECG, pace maker, cardiac monitor, ventilator and others live saving machines.

The Blood bank is the first NABH accredited bank in Chennai. The Transfusion Medicine lab is attached to the blood bank. The lab is responsible for blood transfusion, diagnostic and compatibility testing.

A cafeteria is available for families and visitors of the patient. The cafe is located on the first floor, near the OPD. The food from the cafe cannot be taken to the patient room.

Private Room - 38 rooms are available. Attached bathroom, attendant couch, Tv facilities are given. One attendant is allowed per room.

Semi Private Room - 30 rooms are available. Attendant couch and Tv facilities are available. 1 attendant is allowed.

Multi Bed - 14 rooms are available. Rooms have attached bathrooms. 1 attendant is allowed per patient.

New prices of coronary stents and prices of knee implants have been implemented. Price capping of orthopaedic knee implants was implemented effective 16th August 2017.
