National Heart Institute (NHI) was established by the leading cardiologist of India, Dr. S. Padmavati in 1981. It is the Research & Referral tertiary-care Heart Hospital of the All India Heart Foundation, which plays a vital role in the diagnosis and treatment of heart ailments and allied diseases. The vision of National Heart Institute is to create long-term relationships by caring as no one has done ever before and its mission is to provide superior, compassionate and innovative cardiac care to prevent and treat disease maintaining highest standards in safety and quality. Dr. O.P. Yadava is the CEO and Chief Cardiac Surgeon of National Heart Institute. A portion of the revenue generated is spend in the treatment of the poor and needy who cannot afford good quality medical care. NHI also runs all-inclusive executive health check-up and regular community outreach programs such as heart camps.
