Transurethral Resection of Prostate (TURP) is a surgical procedure used to treat urinary problems caused due to enlarged prostate gland, a medical condition called BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia). Excess prostate tissues that prevents flow of urine are removed in the surgery.

Open Prostatectomy is generally performed in case of severely enlarge prostate, bladder stones and bleeding from prostate. Otherwise, minimally invasive procedures are performed.
