Transurethral Resection of Bladder Tumor (TURBT) is a surgical procedure to diagnose bladder cancer and determine whether the cancer has invaded the urinary wall.
TURBT is also known as Partial Cystectomy, wherein only a part of the bladder is removed. It is performed for early stage bladder cancer when it is only in one region of the bladder, and is not in the area where urine enters or leaves the bladder.
