Hepatitis C or HCV is transmitted through contact with the blood of which has this infection. Three are very rare chance of transmission through sexual contact with someone infected with the virus. This infection cause liver inflammation & a host of other problems which can seriously harm your health. The virus has 2 stages- chronic and acute. The liver’s work is to process blood and filter toxins from our body. It also produces proteins, important blood components, glucagon and bile, which helps us to digest food. It also stores glucose and vitamins. HCV causes inflammation that interrupts the liver’s ability to work these important functions. And thus HCV affects the liver.
