Liver cancer is a form of cancer which affects the liver cells. Liver cancers in the initial stage can be localised to the liver but in the later stage may spread to other parts of the body. 90% of the liver cancers in the world are Hepatocellular carcinoma. Many treatment options have been identified to cure a patient with liver cancer. These include surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, using heat or cold in the form of radiofrequency ablation and cryoablation, and immunotherapy. Palliative care is also available in hospitals.
