Dengue cannot be spread directly from infected person to other person, but it can spread by the bites of infected mosquitos.Dengue is a mosquito-borne viral infection transmitted by the bite of Female Aedes aegypti mosquito. The female Aedes aegypti mosquito is not the main cause of the disease, it is the vector that transmits the virus. The infection causes flu-like symptoms, and develops into severe dengue fever. There is no specific treatment for dengue, but access to proper medical care reduces mortality rates. The best way to prevent dengue is to avoid mosquito bites.
