Dr. Abraham Koshy

Dr Abraham Koshy is the Director of Hepatology at VPS Lakeshore Hospital, Kochi, Kerala and professor of Gastroenterology. He is a well-reputed doctor with extensive experience of over 43 years as Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist and 16 years as director of research. He has also been a professor for Gastroenterology for more than 15 years.  He acquires efficient skills in liver transplant and the treatment of patients with complex liver diseases. Dr Abraham has gained expertise in cirrhosis and hepatitis through the years, while gastroenterology remains as his primary area of focus. He pursued his MBBS from Christain Medical College, Vellore and MD in General Medicine from AIIMS, New Delhi. Furthermore, he has a DM in Gastroenterology and fellowship in the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.  Dr Abraham Koshy has been a teaching faculty for well-known institutes like PGIMER Chandigarh, Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute Lucknow, University of Kuwait and St. Jones Medical College, Bangalore. He also has quite an experience in research at the University of Paris (INSERM), Academic Medical Centre, Amsterdam and Netherlands as well as University of Berns, Switzerland. He has observed liver transplant at Royal Free Hospital, London; Kings College, London; University of Miami, USA and Virginia Commonwealth University.  He holds the record of over 100 publications in medical journals.
