Dr. Amita Mahajan

Dr Amita Mahajan is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in New Delhi. Dr Amita Mahajan has a rich experience of over 23 years in the field of hemato-oncology and she has played a pivotal role in setting up Hemato Oncology Services at Apollo Hospital Delhi. After completing her MBBS, Dr Amita Mahajan pursued MD in Pediatrics from the renowned All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. Following her masters, for her advanced training, she did her Fellowship (MRCP) with specialization in Pediatrics Oncology and Hematology from UK in 1996.  Earlier she worked as a consultant at Llandough Hospital, Cardiff, a Regional Center for Pediatric Oncology in that region. She was also associated with Bone Marrow Transplant (Royal Hospital For Sick Children) unit in the UK, which was routinely involved in the management of both children and adults. Dr Amita Mahajan has been a fellow member of Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health, UK Children's Cancer Study Group, International Society Of Paediatrics, Oncology Indian Academy Of Pediatrics, Thalassemics IndiaFoundation Against and Thalassemia Can Support.
