With an experience of over 25 years, Dr. Amitabha Chanda is one of the leading neurosurgeons in the country today. He completed his MBBS and Master of Surgery (M.S.) in general surgery from Medical College, Calcutta and later completed MCh in neurosurgery from PGIMER, Chandigarh. A winner of several gold medals in his academic career, Dr. Amitabha Chanda later went to USA for higher training in his field. While he worked in U.S and Canada, he was also the mentee of Prof. Laligam Sekhar, world-renowned neurosurgeon and pioneer of skull-base surgery in North America and Dr. Fred Gentili of Toronto, a master microneurosurgeon . Dr. Amitabha Chanda has also reviewed many national and international journals and has also contributed to several international textbooks of neurosurgery.
