Dr. Anil Arora

Dr. Anil Arora is a Senior Consultant & Chairman of the Department of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. In the career of over 29 years, Dr. Anil Arora has gained interest in Liver & Biliary Medicine, Liver Transplantation, Cell Therapy, and Therapeutic Endoscopy. After completing his MBBS from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in 1982, he did his internship from the same institute. He has an experience of about 4 years of practicing before completing his MD in 1986. To further enhance his specialization in Gastroenterology, Dr. Anil underwent DM (GASTRO) from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and FCGP from Indian Medical Association, New Delhi where he secured 1st Position. He has also done a Fellowship in Liver Transplantation 1999 from Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, England, United Kingdom. Dr. Anil specializes in the Diagnostic and Therapeutic endoscopies and colonoscopies, Endoscopic stricture dilatation / Foreign body removal and placement of the Self-expanding metallic prosthesis in the oesophagus, Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy, removal of gastric polyps and injection sclerotherapy of the bleeding vessel at the base of peptic Ulcer and many more.  Dr. Anil was the pioneer of "MARS- Molecular Adsorbent Recirculation System" as an artificial liver support for the patient with Acute Liver Failure, 2004 at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. Dr. Arora offers comprehensive consultation, examination, diagnosis, and treatment of Gastrointestinal, Hepatic, Pancreatobiliary, and Nutritional Diseases along with Inpatient and Outpatient Interventional and Therapeutic Gastroenterology Care and services.  He is also the founder member of Delhi liver foundation trust, which is taking initiative in spreading knowledge about liver diseases amongst general population and doctors and organizing frequent camps for screening of Hepatitis B &C and Free Vaccination of thousands of potentially susceptible population in north India In last few years it has organized many national/international conferences in India
