Dr. Ankur Garg

Dr. Ankur Garg is presently working as a Consultant in HPB Surgery & Liver Transplantation at Nanavati Hospital, Vile Parle, Mumba. He completed his MBBS from Government Medical College (Aurangabad), MS (Surgery) from Lok Manya Tilak Hospital (Mumbai), and M.Ch (Hepatobiliary Surgery and Liver Transplant) from Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences (New Delhi). He is the first surgeon in India to have super specialization in Hepatobiliary Surgery and Liver Transplant. To further enhance his skills, Dr. Garg specializes in all surgeries pertaining to GI tracts like surgery for pancreas, esophageal cancer surgery, liver abscess, liver transplant and many more. He has also done a Fellowship of European Board of Surgery FEBS in Liver Transplantation.

Prior to BLK Hospitals, Dr. Garg did Residency Programs at Department of Surgery, Cooper Municipal General Hospital, Mumbai, and Lok Manya Tilak Municipal General Hospital, Mumbai.

He was also associated with Residency Programs at HPB Surgery and Liver Transplant, Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, New Delhi. In his career span of over 11 years, he has nearly 100 liver transplants to his credit.
