Dr. Anurag Tandon

Dr. Anurag Tandon is one of the renowned Gastroenterologist of India, known for his specialized skills in liver transplant and liver diseases. A graduate (MBBS) from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, he went on to complete his Post Graduation (MD) in Internal Medicine from the same institute. Dr. Tandon has also done super specialization D.M. in Gastroenterology from Banaras Hindu University. Adding a further dimension to his education, he received advanced training in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy at Queen Mary’s Hospital in Hong Kong. Dr. Tandon has also worked at the Liver Unit at King’s College in London and received advanced training in the management of complex liver diseases and liver transplant. Dr. Anurag Tandon is presently working as Senior Consultant in the Metro Centre for Liver and Digestive Diseases at the Metro Multispeciality Hospital in Noida. Dr. Tandon has several publications in important scientific journals, in the field of liver and digestive diseases. His special areas of interest are Viral Hepatitis, Acute Liver Failure and Portal Hypertension. He has been appreciated and awarded with the ‘Young Investigator Award’ at the 10th Asian Pacific Congress of Gastroenterology held at Yokohama in Japan. The doctor has presented numerous research papers in several National and International Forums and has been actively involved in various activities connected to his field of interest. He has been working as an Organizing Secretary in conducting Symposia and scientific meeting related to his subject. At present, Dr. Tandon is a Secretary of the Digestive Diseases Foundation of India. In order to increase the social awareness amongst people, he has organized health camps for promoting Hepatitis B immunization; Also educates people for early detection of liver diseases related to Hepatitis B and C. He has organized Public Forum Meetings to focus attention on Alcohol and lifestyle related liver problems.
