Dr. Arun Oommen

Dr Arun Oommen is the Consultant of Brain and Spine Surgery at VPS Lakeshore Hospital, Kochi, Kerala. He has an experience of over 13 years as a neurosurgeon. He is supremely skilled in treating a broad range of neurosurgical cases and other fields such as Neuro-Oncology, Neuro Trauma and Neurocritical care, Neuro Navigation, Stereotaxic Neurosurgery, Neuro endoscopy, and spine problems including Spine instrumentation.  He pursued his MBBS from Government Medical College,  Trivandrum. He has an MS General Surgery from Government Medical College, Kottayam and MCh in Neurosurgery from Government Medical College, Kottayam. He also acquired MRCS (Ed) from Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, UK and MBA in hospital administration and hospital management. He has previously worked in a variety of super speciality centres. He is the editor of the Open Access Journal of Neurology and Neurosurgery, The Neurology and Neuro Therapy Open Access Journal.  He is also the editor cum advisor for Medcrave online Journal of Neurology and Stroke. Dr Arun Oomen has published various papers under his name in several journals. He acquired Fellowship in Neurosurgery at Paras Institute of Neuroscience, Gurgaon, (2009) and Endoscopic skull base surgery fellowship at Bombay hospital, Mumbai (2013).
