Dr. Arvinder Singh Soin

Dr. Arvinder Singh Soin, an undisputable expert of liver transplantation. He has performed nearly 1,500 liver transplants in India, which is the maximum in the country. Dr. Soin is the Chairman of the Institute of Liver Transplantation and Regenerative Medicine and heads the Liver transplantation team at Medanta. He currently performs 25 liver transplants every month with 95% success results. As a practice, the team not only treats referrals from India but also handles cases from the rest of South Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Dr. Arvinder Singh Soin has bagged the esteemed Padma Shri award from the President of India for liver transplantation program in India. He was also recognized in the Limca Book of Records for executing the highest liver transplants for four years. He received the R.D. Birla Award for being an outstanding clinician. Also, he achieved the DMA Award for his excellence in organ transplantation. Before becoming the Chairman of the Institute of Liver Transplantation at Medanta, he has been the Senior Consultant (Hepatobiliary Surgery) at Sir Ganga Ram and Indraprastha Apollo hospitals in New Delhi. Prior to this, he has been the Registrar (Transplant Surgery) at the Adenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge and an SHO (Transplant) in Birmingham. Dr. Arvinder Singh Soin is a life member of the Association of Surgeons, an eminent member of the British Transplantation Society, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
