Dr. BK Singh

The Chairperson of the Department of Orthopaedics in Artemis Hospital, Dr. BK Singh has over 2 decades of rich professional experience in his field. He completed MBBS (1972) - Armed Forces Medical College Pune, MS (Surgery) (1981) - Armed Forces Medical College Pune and M S (Ortho) (1987) - Armed Forces Medical College Pune. After completing his graduation and post-graduation, he undertook Super Speciality Training in Joint Replacement Surgery (1991-1993) and was trained in Institute of Orthopaedics, The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital Oswestry, University of Birmingham (UK) for two years. He was also trained in Robotic Joint Replacement Surgery Osaka, Japan, 2003.  His area of interest lies in Uni Condylar Knee Replacement and Total Ankle Replacement. Dr. BK papers in India and abroad and is a member of prestigious medical associations. He believes in promoting health awareness and following a healthy lifestyle. Till date, he has performed more than 5000 Arthroplasty procedures. Dr. BK Singh is a pioneer in Uni Condylar Knee Replacement and Total Ankle Replacement and is the only surgeon in India who has expertise in Robotic Hip and Knee Replacements. He has contributed to numerous National and International publications and has been organizing workshops in Joint Replacement Surgery for past 10 years. Besides practicing, Dr. Singh is also a postgraduate examiner and DNB inspector.
