Dr. Falguni Parikh

A consultant at the department of internal medicine, Dr. Falguni has over 21 years of experience. She completed her MBBS, M.D. (Medicine), DNB (Medicine), FICP (Fellow of Indian College of Physicians), and MNAMS (Member of National Academy of Medical Sciences). Dr. Parikh also visited the departments of Critical care Medicine and Infectious Diseases at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center PA USA on Hargobind Medical Foundation Fellowship in 2004 (for 3 months). Dr. Parikh has wide experience in the field of internal medicine and has handled patients with multiple medical issues and geriatric patients. She has a special interest in diagnosis and treatment of diseases common to the tropics like Malaria, Leptospirosis, Dengue, Typhoid, Cholera, and Tuberculosis.She has handled patients with tuberculosis of spine, chest, abdomen, lymph nodes, genitourinary tract, and bones. She has managed infections like rickettsial infections, hydatid disease, cysticercosis, amoebiasis, tropical eosinophilia and filariasis besides rare bacterial and viral infections like Brucellosis, Ebstein Barr virus infections, etc. She has experience in the treatment of HIV/AIDS and opportunistic infections in these patients.  Dr. Parikh worked for Fifteen years as a faculty (Assistant Professor followed by the Associate Professor) in Internal Medicine at the prestigious B.Y.L. Nair Hospital and Topiwala National Medical College which is a 1500 bedded multispecialty tertiary care hospital with a medical college situated in South Mumbai.
