Dr. I C Verma

Dr. IC Verma is a highly regarded specialist in the field of genetic medicine. With a remarkable career spanning 56 years, he has established himself as a prominent figure in the medical community. The extensive experience and dedication of Dr. Verma's achievements in his field have earned him numerous awards and accolades including the prestigious FRCP Fellowship, Ranbaxy Science Award and recognition from esteemed organizations such as ICMR, NAMS and BC Roy Medical Council. After completing his MBBS degree, he received a Dr. Verma gained valuable experience practicing medicine in East Africa before continuing his education in paediatrics and genetics in London. His distinguished tenure at AIIMS from 1967 to 1996 enabled him to make significant contributions as Professor of Pediatrics and Head of the Department of Genetics. Under his leadership, the department achieved recognition as a WHO Collaborating Center in Genetics, a testament to its outstanding performance.

For the past two decades, he has been an active member of the advisory body of the World Health Organization's Committee on Genetic Disorders. Currently Dr. IC Verma serves as the Honorable Head of the Department of Genetic Medicine at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi.
