Dr. Ish Anand

Dr. Ish Anand is a highly respected neurologist and neuro-electrophysiologist with an illustrious career spanning 39 years. He is currently serving as the Vice President and Chief Consultant in the Department of Neurology at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and is the CEO of the Neurology Clinic in South Delhi. He previously held a senior position at GB Pant Hospital, New Delhi. Dr. Recognized for his expertise in the treatment of both acute and chronic neurological conditions, Ish Anand has a special interest in the management of headache, epilepsy, stroke, movement disorders, nerve and muscle disorders, and neck and back pain. He is renowned for his expertise in managing neurological emergencies. Dr. Ish Anand completed MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, MD in Internal Medicine from L.N.J.P.N. Hospital, DM in Neurology from GB Pant Hospital and received Diploma in Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases (DTCD) from V.P. Chest Institute. He also received a fellowship in Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology from the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. Throughout his career, he has mentored numerous aspiring neurologists and internal medicine residents. He actively participated in clinical research projects on Parkinson's disease, peripheral neuropathy, migraine, multiple sclerosis and acute stroke. Dr. Ish Anand made a significant contribution to the field of neurology by introducing intraoperative prolonged EEG monitoring for patients undergoing carotid endarterectomy under general anesthesia in northern India. He has chaired several sessions and delivered more than 80 presentations at national and international conferences covering various topics related to neurology. His knowledge and insights have been shared through 33 publications and 11 book chapters. He is a distinguished member of reputed organizations including Indian Academy of Neurology, Neurological Society of India, Indian Epilepsy Association, Delhi Neurological Association and International Epilepsy Consortium.
