Dr. K R Vasudevan

Dr. Vasudevan K R is part of a team that started Liver transplants in India. In the early 2000s, he trained in Delhi and the USA. He has 15 years of experience overall, but with a 95% success rate while handling more than 1500 cases. He specializes in liver transplants in children, adults, ABO compatible and incompatible patients, IVC replacement, and thoracotomy. He easily handles complicated cases like combined liver-kidney transplantation and liver-related and deceased donor liver transplantation. Dr. Vasudevan K R is a member of the International and Indian associations for liver transplantation. He also facilitates as a faculty at annual conferences nationally and internationally. His specialization in hepato-pancreatic-biliary surgery is a key skill differentiator.  Dr. Vasudevan K R is a renowned trainer for doctoral students in surgical gastroenterology and liver transplantation. The International Liver transplant society has been awarded a young Investigator award and designated as a Key Opinion Leader by The Transplant Society. He is even featured in India today for making a difference in the medical landscape at a very young age. He also established two liver transplant programs and helped others develop their programs in India and neighboring countries.
