Dr. Lorance Peter is a HOD and Chief of Gastroenterology. He has remarkable competence in treating digestive and liver diseases. Not only has he served as an excellent gastroenterologist, but he has also passed on his teachings to doctors specializing in GI and liver diseases. Dr. Lorance Peter is a graduate (MBBS) from St. Johns Medical College, Bangalore University. Further, he has pursued his MD, DM, and DNB from prestigious institutions. He is well-known for performing more than 70,000 endoscopic procedures, colonoscopic procedures, and ERCP. His keen interest in the medical literature is highlighted by his participation in various conferences. He has also been awarded for paper presentations. Prior to joining Columbia Asia Hospital, Dr. Lorance Peter has consulted at Manipal Hospital HAL Airport Road. He has a massive professional experience of nearly 25 years in this field. One of his achievements is that he is the first person to have performed Oesophageal and Rectal manometry in Karnataka. He is also credited for being the first person who has successfully completed innumerable cases of POEM procedure.
