Dr. Nirmal Kumar

Dr. Nirmal Kumar is HOD and Senior Consultant - Gastroenterology in Venkateshwara Hospital, Dwarka. After gaining his academic excellence, he started his medical career with various prestigious institutes. Dr. Nirmal was also recognized with the prestigious WHO Fellowship in Gastroenterology from the University of Pittsburg, USA and he was also the Fellow of International Medical Science Academy (FIMSA). Throughout his career, he has been a distinguished Gastroenterologist and was awarded various accolades and Gold Medals, including Gold Medal in MD for best thesis in clinical medicine, distinguished teacher award of the Delhi Medical Association (1992), Dr. RM Kasliwal Award by National Academy of Medical Sciences (1992-93), Smt. PK Jain Oration Award by Association of Physicians of India, Delhi, “Prof. Hari Vaishnava Oration Award for ERCP” Delhi Medical Association (1997) & State Award for Service Doctors by Govt. of NCT of Delhi, (2000-2001) for meritorious services in the field of Healthcare. Dr. Nirmal Kumar has also been the President of the Society of GI Endoscopy of India and Vice President of Indian Society of Gastroenterology.
