Dr. RN Bhattacharya

Dr. RN Bhattacharya is a Director in the Department of Neurosurgery. He has more than 42 years of experience in his professional career. His area of interest lies in endoscopic, skull base and vascular Neurosurgery. He is the first Neurosurgeon who took an initiative for complete removal of acoustic neurinoma with facial nerve prevention. He has performed over 400 AV Malformation and 2,000 aneurysms which is the highest record as compared to any other surgeon in India.

Dr. RN Bhattacharya completed MBBS, MS in General Surgery and MCh in Neurosurgery from AIIMS, New Delhi. Dr. RN Bhattacharya is an ex-President of Neurological Society of India and Cerebro Vascular surgery society of India. He has visited several countries such as Europe, Japan, USA as a visiting Professor. He has more than 50 papers and researches published in National and International journals. Prior to working at Manipal Hospital, Dr. RN Bhattacharya was a Professor and Head of Department at Sree Chitra Tirunal Medical Science & Technology, Trivandrum, Kerala.
