Dr. Ayyapan is a Consultant in Surgical Oncology in Apollo Specialty Cancer Hospital, Teynampet. After completing his MBBS - Madras University, Chennai, India, 1991 and MS - General Surgery - The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University (TNMGRMU), 1995, Dr. Ayyappan S underwent specialized training in Key Hole Surgery at Singapore and Turkey, France, England. He heads Apollo's Cancer Surgery Department and has also been a consultant in Surgical Oncology at Adyar Cancer Institute for over 9 years. He has won many awards and accolades and The Best Doctoral Award in the Field of Cancer from Tamil Nadu Medical University - 2013 was one of them. Dr. Ayyappan is specialized in Surgical Oncology with years of experience in handling cancerous tumors, biopsies, and surgical techniques and treatments. He has successfully performed numerous cancer and tumor surgeries. Dr. Ayyappan has expertise in conducting surgeries and biopsies for different kinds of cancers. His dedication and thrive for learning and updating latest techniques and treatments to fight cancer gives him the freedom to approach patients in a broader way. He has presented several papers in International Conference.
