Dr. Samir K Kalra

With degrees of MBBS from the SMS Medical College in Jaipur, MS (General Surgery) from the Dr. SN Medical College in Jodhpur, and M.Ch (Neuro Surgery) from the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow, Dr. Samir K. Kalra is a Consultant of the Neurosurgery Department at the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi. A bright student throughout his academic career, Dr. Kalra did his Post Doctoral Fellowship in Neurosurgery from the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow, DNB (Neurosurgery) from the National Board of Examination, and an Advanced Course in Neurosurgery from the National Neuroscience Institute (NNI) in Singapore. Prior to joining the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, he was associated with other reputed organizations, including the Nagoya University in Japan, National Neuroscience Institute in Singapore, and the SGPGIMS in Lucknow. Dr. Kalra is an expert in performing diverse procedures and treating various disorders, including Head Injuries, Brain Tumors, Aneurysms/AV Malformations, Brain Hemorrhage, Brain Infections, Stereotaxy Procedures, Skull Base procedures, Spinal /Spinal Cord Operations of all types, Spinal Disc Prolapses, Microlumbar Discectomies, Fenestrations, Endoscopic Spinal Surgeries, Anterior Spinal Microsurgical Discectomies with Fusions, Disc Replacements, Cage Fixations, Canal Stenosis, Spine Infections, Spinal /Spinal Cord Injuries, & Spinal Cord Tumors.

A role model for many aspiring Neuro & Spine Specialists, Dr. Kalra has been bestowed with six gold medallions in this field and has the credit of designing the world’s first Scoring System for Craniovertebral Junction Anomalies & Brainstem Gliomas. Dr. Kalra has published more than 50 international & national articles, attended 15 international conferences, presented 47 papers, and published 56 papers He also has the society membership of 11 reputed organizations, attended 21 workshops, and has received 4 scholarships.
