Dr. Satish Rudrappa

Dr. Satish Rudrappa is the Director - Neurosciences, Senior Consultant - Neurosurgery, HOD - Spine Surgery, Institute of Neurosciences in Sakra World Hospital, Varthur Hobli. Dr. Satish Rudrappa is one of the renowned and distinguished Senior Neurosurgeon in India. Apart from Sakra World Hospital, Dr. Satish is currently a Senior Consultant Neurosurgeon & Head, Dept of Spine Surgery in Brain & Spine Surgery at Manipal Hospital, Bangalore, and a Senior consultant Neurosurgeon at Sri Satya Sai Hospital, Whitefield, Bangalore. Dr. Satish has also been a visiting Prof. of Neurosurgery at Louisiana State University, Shreveport, USA, and extensively worked and taught skull base Surgical skills and cadaver dissection techniques. He completed M.B.B.S - in Karnataka Medical College, Hubli the year 1990 and M.Ch (Neurosurgery) from National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) in the year 1995. Subsequently, he also underwent various Fellowships; Complex Spine Surgery from Detroit Medical Centre, Detroit, Michigan, USA, Thoracoscopic Spine surgery from Barrow Neurological Institute, Phoenix, USA. Dr. Satish has also been a Fellow of Microvascular Anastomosis at Henry Ford Hospital, USA. Till date, he has performed more than 5300 Brain Surgeries & 5700 Complex Spine Surgeries (Microsurgery). Over the years, Dr. Satish acquired expertise in Skull base tumours, Spine surgeries with or without  Instrumentation and Spinal Cord Tumours. Complex Spine & Reconstructive surgeries, Craniovertebral Anomalies. HE is also among those first people in India to perform Image Guided Spine and Brain Surgery.
