Dr. Saumyajit Basu

Dr. Saumyajit Basu is a Consultant in the Department of Orthopedics and Spine Surgery at Park Clinic and Kothari Medical Center in Kolkata. He has 21 years of experience as a spine surgeon and pioneered in developing spine surgery as a specialty in Kolkata. He has performed over 1500 surgeries till now. His area of interest is spinal deformities and cervical spine. Dr. Saumyajit Basu has completed MBBS from medical college, Calcutta, MS in Orthopedics from R.G. Kar Medical College, and DNB from Diplomate National Board. Further, he has undertaken fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons - Edinburgh and Spine Centre for Spinal Studies, Queens Medical Centre, UK. Dr. Saumyajit Basu is actively involved in Scoliosis Research Society, Association of Spine Surgeons of India as an Executive Committee Member and AO Spine Fellowship, Park Clinic, Kolkata as a Program Director.
