Dr. Shiv Kumar Sarin

Dr. Shiv Kumar Sarin is a Consultant in the Department of Gastroenterology at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), Delhi. Dr. Shiv Kumar Sarin has completed his MBBS and MD in Pharmacology and Therapeutics from Rajasthan University, Jaipur and DM in Gastroenterology from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in 1981. His hard work led him to make noticeable changes in health education and medical sciences. In his career of 30 years, he has been the President of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology, Asian Pacific Association of Liver (APASL), Indian Association for the Study of the Liver and Vice-President of International Association for Gastroenterologists, Oncologists, and Surgeons. Currently, he is the chairman of Steering Committee of the APASL and holds a major role in coordinating education and training program in the Asian region. Dr. Shiv Kumar is an active participant in the International Association of the Study of the Liver, American Gastroenterology Association, Indian Association for Study of the Liver. He has received various awards such as the Third World Academy of Medical Sciences (TWAS) International Prize, Ranbaxy Medical Sciences Award, Dhanvantri Medical Award, and many more.
