Dr. Surya Prakash R Bhandari

Dr. Surya Prakash R Bhandari is attached to prominent hospitals in Mumbai city like Godrej hospital and Joy Hospital. He has more than 15 years of experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy including ERCP, EUS, capsule endoscopy and small bowel enteroscopy. Dr. Bhandari has a special interest in the endoscopic management of pancreatico-biliary disorders, resection of large colonic polyps, special endoscopic surgeries like EMR, ESD, POEM, etc and Pediatric Gastroenterology.

Dr. Bhandari completed his Masters in General Surgery from Mumbai University in 2002 and fellowship in gastroenterology and advanced gastrointestinal endoscopy from South Korea. He was awarded gold medal by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Mumbai for his best academic performance in General Surgery in 2002.

He also has large experience of therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy in pediatric population especially difficult colonoscopies and ERCP’s. Dr. Bhandari has the number of original publications in national and international journals on managing difficult bile duct stones, pancreatic stones, interventional endosonography and role of endosonography in abdominal lymphadenopathy of unknown cause.
