Dr. Udai Prakash

Dr. Udai is a Director of  Udai Omni Hospital, Hyderabad, India since its inception in 2012. He is also the Chief of Department of Joint Replacement Surgery and Sports Injuries at Udai Omni Hospital. Dr. Udai received his Basic Surgical Training in Edinburgh, UK in1993 and underwent Specialist Registrar Training at Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery, Dundee & Inverness, UK, 1996-2002, following which he was awarded the fellowship at Joint Replacement & Arthroscopy, Adelaide, Australia, 2001-2002. Over the years, he gained expertise in Primary Hip replacement, Primary Knee replacement, Partial knee replacement, Revision hip and knee replacement, Hip fracture surgery, Musculoskeletal trauma, Management of osteoarthritis of the knee, Management of Avascular Necrosis of Hip, Sports Medicine, Knee Arthroscopy including management ligament and meniscal tears, Cartilage regeneration and Biologic treatment of cartilage injuries and degeneration (Ortho Biologics). Due to his commitment and passion for the field, Dr. Udai engages himself in various workshops and committees. He has also founded Indian Biologics Orthopaedic Society (IBOS) and is an active member of Indian Orthopaedic Association. He also plays the role of advisor for the development of hip and knee products to Corin Ltd UK.
