Dr. Vinodchandra Laheri is a Consultant - Orthopedics and Spine Surgery. He completed his MBBS from the Topiwala National Medical College and MS in Orthopedics from the B. Y. L. Nair Hospital. Dr. Laheri is a pioneer of spine surgery in India and has been a teacher to several young spine practitioners in the country. He has extensive experience of 25 years in spine surgery and has a great interest in the reconstruction of complex craniovertebral deformities. The first C1-C2 instrumented fixation in the world has been credited to his name. His special interest lies in degenerative spinal problems and has accomplished joint replacement and various kinds of primary as well as complex revision hip and knee replacements. Dr. Laheri has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals. He is frequently invited to give lectures and demonstrate spine surgery. He has been awarded Sushrut Award for Excellence in Surgery in 2008.
