Dr. Viswanathan MS

Dr. Viswanathan MS is a Consultant - Paediatric Gastroenterology in Apollo Children's Hospital, Shafee Mohammed Road. He completed MBBS from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University (TNMGRMU) in 1997, MD - Pediatrics from The Tamil Nadu M.G.R. Medical University (TNMGRMU) in 2001 and MRCPCH (UK) from Royal College Of Physician, London in 2004. Dr. Viswanathan also completed certified modules in Paediatric Nutrition by Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, United Kingdom. Throughout his academics and fellowships, he has won many awards, Paediatric Nutrition prize at Institute of Child Health and Gold medal in Anatomy, Social & Preventive medicine to name a few.  He has done many presentations at national and international conferences on specialty related topics and he was also invited to participate in ESPGHAN Paediatric Liver Transplant workshop, Rovinj, Croatia, Europe, Oct 2015. Dr. Viswanathan has also been a faculty for National/Regional CME & Conferences on paediatric gastroenterology/hepatology. His special interest lies in Abdominal pain, Vomiting, Diarrhoea, Constipation, Blood/mucous in stools,  Swallowing difficulties, Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, Inflammatory bowel disease, Irritable bowel syndrome, Food intolerance/allergy, and Coeliac disease.
