Dr. Vivek Sharma

The Director of the department of Orthopedics at Artemis Hospital, Dr. Vivek Sharma has over a decade of rich professional experience in his field. His area of interest lies in the treatment of complex joint replacements, revision surgery, and arthroscopic surgeries. Dr. Vivek Sharma has treated several patients suffering from bone disorders in India and gives every patient the best of medical care. After completing his MBBS and MS in 1989, he worked as a Senior Resident for 2 years before deciding to move to UK for higher training.Dr. Vivek underwent his basic training in Newcastle Deanery in the UK and did primary fellowship before undertaking his higher surgical training in Oxford Deanery. He did his 5 years of higher surgical training before qualifying his final fellowship exam. He has also done 2 master’s degrees from the UK. On returning to India, Dr. Sharma was honored with the position of a Senior Consultant in Orthopaedics at Artemis Health Institute, Gurgaon and as an Associate Director & Unit Head in Medanta Bone & Joint Institute, Medanta – The Medicity Hospital. Till date has done over 3000 joint replacements and is a qualified sports medicine expert in India and UK. He has an expertise in the art of complex joint replacements, RevisionSurgeryy and Arthroscopic surgeries.
