Dr. VP Gangadharan

Dr VP Gangadharan is the HOD and Senior Consultant of Medical and Paediatric Oncology Department at VPS Lakeshore Hospital, Kochi, Kerala. He acquires an experience of more than 30 years in the field of Oncology. Apart from Oncological practice, his interest also lies in educating the public on prevention, early detection and treatment of cancer through various forms of media and interactive mediums. His qualifications include an MBBS, MD- Radiotherapy, MD- Internal Medicine and DM- Medical Onology. He holds to his credit the initiation of Medical Oncology Department in RCC, Kerala and Cochin Cancer Society, which provides cancer care to needy and underprivileged. He recieved specialized training in bone marrow transplantation from Georgetown University Hospital, Washington DC, USA, 1995 and Royal Marsden Hospital Sutton, UK. He has served as faculty for graduate and post graduate training programmes in several universities of India. Dr VP Gangadharan has participated in investigations and researches through the years. He has been the recepient of about sixty awards for his excellence in the medical field and is the author of the book 'Jeevithamenna Athbhutham'. Over forty precise publications in national and international journals and chapters in medical books are signed with his name.
