I've had a UTI for a year. Dr. Hasit Rudreshkumar Mehta and I met. He helped me conduct the right tests to identify the stricture. We, therefore, prepare to operate to eliminate the restriction. I am recovering well from my surgery.

When my wife got diagnosed with kidney stones, we went to Dr. Hasit Rudreshkumar. The stones were small and the doctors’ medicines were enough for them. We connected with him through WhatsApp and he always took out time to reply to us.

Who is a Urologist?

Urologists are health specialists specializing in diagnosing and treating disorders of the urinary system in both men and women. They may also diagnose and treat men's problems with their reproductive tract. The human urinary tract is considered the body's drainage system responsible for eliminating urine from the body. Patients with irregularities or issues related to the urinary tract or any part of the related system are referred to a urologist. Also, in a few cases, when a regular physician believes that they may require treatment for a problem linked to the bladder, urethra, ureters, kidneys, or adrenal glands, they can recommend the patient to visit a urologist.

A Urologist provides diagnosis and treatment services for the following part of the urinary tract -

  • Kidneys are the organ responsible for filtering waste from the blood to create urine.
  • Urine ducts, which are the tubes that carry urine from the kidneys to the bladder
  • The urinary tract includes the bladder, a hollow sac containing urine.
  • The urethra, a line connecting the bladder to the external body, allows urine to pass through.
  • Adrenal glands are hormone-producing glands placed on the top of each kidney and located on the side of each kidney.

Conditions treated by a Urologist.

Urologists provide consultation and treatment for various urologic illnesses and problems in patients, including men, women, and children. These urinary tract-related illnesses can occur to anyone at any age. Urologic conditions generally impact the male reproductive organs and the urinary tract. In contrast, the female reproductive organs are affected only by the urinary tract. Patients with the following health conditions can seek medical assistance from a urologist -

Urologists deal with the following conditions in men -

  • Cancers of the bladder, kidneys, penis, testicles, adrenal glands, and prostate glands are among the most common.

  • Stones in the kidneys
  • Prostatitis, an inflammation of the prostate gland, is a medical condition.
  • Infections of the urinary tract (UTIs)
  • The scrotum contains varicoceles, which are swollen veins.

Urologists deal with the following conditions in women -

  • a prolapsed bladder, or the falling of the bladder into the vaginal opening
  • bladder, kidney, and adrenal gland tumors are among the most common types of cancer in females.
  • interstitial cystitis
  • Stones in the kidneys
  • a hyperactive bladder
  • UTIs
  • Urinary incontinence is a medical condition that affects one's ability to urinate.

Urologists treat the following conditions in children -

  • bed-wetting issues
  • obstructions and other problems with the urinary tract's structural integrity
  • undescended testicles

A patient diagnosed with any conditions mentioned above or other urinary tract-related disease needs to visit a urologist for quality and effective treatment. You can book an appointment immediately and get a consultation with a Urologist in Bangalore through Credihealth.

What to expect during a visit with a urologist?

Once a patient visits a urologist for particular issues or disorders, the doctor may discuss symptoms and other health conditions with them. The urology doctor may ask a few questions that can be a part of his treatment process. The doctor also may perform a physical test and a few other following tests, if required -

  • Imaging tests, such as CT scans, MRI scans, or ultrasounds, can assist the doctor in finding the issue.
  • A urine test can screen for germs or other indicators of illness.

Roshni

Bangalore

Sometimes, life becomes so unpredictable that you can't blame anyone for your condition. This is the story of Roshni, who at the age of 7 had to undergo a major surgery called a robotic partial nephrectomy. Her parents sometimes feel lucky that they gave birth to the brave girl of their family, who is now all set to make her career in science and believes to take medical science as her major subject of higher education. From birth, Roshni’s parents were warned about her health and her deteriorating kidney. The doctors told the parents that it would take huge expenses if they wanted to save their child. For many years, the child had to go through medicinal examinations and was taken on the course of medicines. The doctors were fighting together for the small girl to become fine.

How did Roshni receive help?

  • Sometimes, children born either through C-section or vaginal delivery often develop diseases immediately after their birth or through the mother

  • Even though Roshni’s mother was not going through any harmful or hard-to-treat disease, Roshni caught an infection and started developing a cyst in her left kidney. This was the reason Roshni's parents had to reach a Urologist in Bangalore.

  • The health of the child was deteriorating day by day. Although she reached 5 and became able to be admitted to the school, she was not properly fine to receive education and go to school daily.

  • The doctors had something else for the child. They suggested the parents follow robotic partial nephrectomy instead of approaching any small or minimally invasive surgery. However, the parents only wanted their child to become capable of going to school and achieving a normal healthy life.

  • After the minimum timing of 3 hours, the doctors came out of the operation room and told them that the child was under observation and would be sleeping for a night. After the night when she would wake up, her health would depict everything about her future diseases.

Thankfully, Roshni received her senses after a night and was taken under observation for the whole day. She received medications and the proper treatments that her parents dreamed of. The child could now live happily with her normal routine and could now join the school. Also, the child became the youngest person to receive the robotic surgery for her kidney cyst through a Urologist in Bangalore.
