Mona is around 40 years old and is having a girl child of around 10 years old. When she gave birth to her daughter, the mother was informed that her daughter would not live for more than 15 years because of the congenital kidney disease with which she was born. The parents could now feel the pain of their 10 years old daughter who had to go through dialysis every 15 days and had to face the heavy injections and medications in the hospital.
How did Mona and her daughter receive the help?
Mona, who had the name of her daughter registered for a kidney transplant, had to wait for over 3 years until her daughter became 13 years old and extremely weak and sick.
On one hand, Mona’s daughter was growing rapidly and on other hand, the doctor had informed her about the limited age period of her daughter.
Now, Mona could not wait to have her daughter fitted with a kidney of any reliable or matched donor.
She planned to give the kidney of her own so that her daughter could survive at least 13 or 20 years more.
The best thing was Mona’s blood matched with the blood group of her daughter. After having precise consultation with the doctors of Manipal Hospital, Patiala, Mona went to have a kidney transplant procedure for her daughter.
Thankfully, the practices of the hospital worked and Mona was now able to see her daughter growing and flourishing with each passing year. Today, Mona’s daughter is around 26 years old and she is living happily with her mother, both with one kidney.
