There can be several reasons which may cause a pain the stomach during intercourse especially during, before and after the menstruation period. Almost every woman feels pain during intercourse at the time of deep penetration. If you are having deep abdominal pains on a regular basis during intercourse you should consult your gynecologist or sexologist.
There are associated health problems which may cause stomach pain like discharge from the vagina, change in the periods and bleeding after sex. Generally, there should be no or negligible pain during sex in the abdomen.
The reasons may include an infection as well. One of the most common among them is PID or Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. Another possibility is fibroids. So if the pains are regular, it is better to check with the doctor. If everything is normal, then you can check the shape and position of the uterus and make some changes in the positions to find which is more comfortable for you.
