hypothyroidism since birth means child born with improper thyroid gland or no thyroid gland at all. children born with it are bound to face growth issues like

    • shorter than average height
    • shorter than average limbs
    • permanent teeth that develop later
    • puberty that starts later
    • slowed mental development
    • heart rate that is slower than average
    • hair may be brittle
    • facial features may be puffy

for treatment, please visit your pediatrician as they would test your child’s TSH level and then decide the dose of the medicine.
