Dr. Bhupen N Desai

Dr. Bhupen Desai is an experienced cardiologist. He has an experience of over 20 years in his field. He completed his MBBS from the University of Burdwan, West Bengal in 1984 and Diploma in Cardiology from Jadavpur University in 1987 . He excelled throughout his academics bagging a Gold medal in MBBS and later moved on to pursue his MD in Medicine from the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh. To master his expertise and super specialty in cardiology, Dr Bhupen Desai went on to obtain his DM in Cardiology degree from PGIMER in 1993. For advanced training in cardiology, he completed his Fellowship at American College of Cardiology (FACC) in 2006. In his career of over two decades, Dr Bhupen Desai has performed several thousand 2D Echocardiographic studies including Colour Doppler, Neonatal, Pediatric, Portable and Dobutamine Stress Echo studies. He has thousands of cardiac interventional procedures including Coronary Angiography, Angioplasty, Pacemaker Implantation to his name. Apart from practicing at Nanavati Hospital, Mumbai, he is also associated with other reputed hospitals in Mumbai. Besides his ever growing practice, he also spends time with cardiology students to share his expertise and experience. He is also actively involved in various councils and associations. His expertise lies in Angiography, Angioplasty via the Radial (wrist) route and other percutaneous coronary interventions. Dr Bhupen Desai is an expert in treatment of  high Blood Pressure, Diabetes (Type I and Type II) and Heart Disease.
