Dr MSS Mukharjee is a Senior Consultant of Interventional Cardiology & Cardiology department. He completed MBBS from Guntur Medical College in 1996 and followed it with an MD in General Medicine. To gain further knowledge, he went on to pursue DM in Cardiology from Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam in 2005 and DNB (Cardiology) from Gandhi Medical College, Hyderabad in 2011. Dr MSS Mukharjee is one of the very few cardiologists in India with both a DM degree and a DNB degree. Dr MSS Mukharjee started his career as an honorary faculty at the coveted Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) and later joined Yashoda Hospitals and Prime Hospital. He is also a founder-partner of a vibrant interventional cardiologists’ team called Angioplasty Associates. Dr MSS Mukharjee is considered one of the best interventional cardiologists in Hyderabad of his generation and has performed interventional procedures with high success rates. In his career spanning over a decade, he has performed more than 15,000 coronary angiograms and 3600 angioplasty procedures. Dr MSS Mukharjee offers the best second opinion regarding the angiograms done elsewhere, helping the patients to choose further line of treatment wisely. Dr MSS Mukharjee is also among a select group of cardiologists of the American Society of Hypertension and is known as one of the best ASH Hypertension Specialist. He has expertise in coronary angiography and angioplasty which is done mostly from the wrist access (radial artery access). Due to his strong inclination in research and academic, he has been actively involved in various clinical trials as an investigator.
