Dr. P Seshagiri Rao

Dr. P Seshagiri Rao is a HOD and Senior Consultant - Cardiology in Apollo Health City, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. Dr. Rao has an experience of 33 years in this field and also practices at Nizam's Institute Of Medical Sciences in Punjagutta, Hyderabad. He completed MBBS from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry in 1975, MD - Internal Medicine from G B Pant Hospital / Moulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi in 1980 and DM - Cardiology from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in 1982. He has done Advanced Training in Invasive Cardiology in the US & Europe and has served as an Asst. Prof. of Cardiology, NIMS (1984 – 1986) and Osmania Medical College (1986 – 1987). Dr. Rao had a very distinctive academics and has won first prize in Microbiology and stood first through his MD Exams: Delhi University. He has also been awarded Jagdish Kapila Award for Outstanding Senior Resident in Cardiology, AIIMS (1982) and Uttama Seva Patra Award of AP Govt. for being a prime member of the team which performed FIRST ANGIOPLASTY in Acute MI in India (1985). He is a member of Member of CSI / IAE and Cardiological Society of India (CSI).
