Dr. Rahul Gupta

Dr. Rahul Gupta is a Director - Director - Neuro and Spine Surgery, Fortis Hospital, Noida. With 19 years of experience in his field, he is the brain behind the department of Brain and spine surgery at Fortis Hospital, Noida.  He was trained at Govt Medical College, Rohtak and PGIMER, Chandigarh and worked as a faculty member in the department of Neurosurgery at PGIMER, Chandigarh and GB Pant Hospital, New Delhi. He has presented many papers at national and international conferences and has also published about 40 articles in reputed national and international scientific journals. He was trained at Nagoya Japan, which has made him an expert in Endovascular procedure and was awarded the Prestigious Sugita Scholarship at Nagoya University of Medical Science, Japan in 2011. He has done training to use Fluorescence (5-ALA) in malignant glioma surgery at Graz, Austria and for functional neurosurgery at Amsterdam, Holland.   With a special interest in surgery for brain and spinal tumors and congenital malformations, Dr. Rahul Gupta has performed surgeries on hundreds of patients with head and spine injury. He has treated numerous complex spine ailments like metastatic tumors, osteoporotic fractures (vertebroplasty), degenerative diseases and listhesis. He has performed in the correction of the craniovertebral junction and cervical spine anomalies and fixation using screws. He has vast experience in performing Neuro-Endo-Vascular procedures like coiling, embolization, stent placement and recanalization for Stroke. Dr. Rahul is an active member of various National and International Neurosurgical and Spine societies like NSI, NSSI, DNA, Skull Base Society, Cerebrovascular society, Neurotrauma Society and AO spine society. Apart from his work experience in the medical field, Dr. Gupta has published many books and articles which includes-Thirty one publication in various indexed International journals along with seventeen publications in various indexed Indian journals and two chapters in books.
